From April 30 – May 6, Americans come together to celebrate National Small Business Week. As conservatives, we recognize the vital force that small businesses play in our nation’s economic prosperity, the entrepreneurial Americans who open small businesses, and the richness that locally owned enterprises add to our cultural landscape.
There are more than 29 million small businesses in the United States and two-thirds of all new jobs are created by small businesses. They form the backbone of our economy. When small businesses thrive, America thrives.
President Trump is a leading voice in the fight for small businesses. He began his presidency by slashing Obama’s job-killing regulations that prevented small American companies from succeeding, reaffirming his commitment to a thriving middle class. After meeting with countless small business owners at the White House, President Trump signed an executive order aimed at reducing regulation and controlling regulatory costs, giving small American companies the opportunity to operate free from the burden of stifling red tape and an overbearing federal government.

During National Small Business Week, our Party recognizes the undeniable contributions small businesses make to the American economy by opening up a dialogue on the best ways to support the innovative and bold Americans who open their own businesses and take charge of their futures.
You can join the conversation by sharing pictures of your favorite local businesses on social media with the hashtag #SmallBusinessWeek and #ShopSmall.
